A message from Sheikh Feysal:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

First and foremost, I would like to say Ramadan Mubarak to everyone! May Allah {SWT} make this a blessed month for us all. I pray to Allah that you, your family, and loved ones are in good health amidst this pandemic. As we continue to navigate our way through COVID-19, we ask Allah to make everything go as smoothly as possible inshallah.

Ramadan Dates:

As there was no confirmed moon sighting, we will complete the 30th day of Sha'baan. The first day of Ramadan will be Tuesday April 13th, 2021. Inshallah taraweeh will begin the night before.

Taraweeh & Qiyam:
This year, Masjid Darul Quran will slightly modify the normal Taraweeh and Qiyam-ul-Layl format. We will complete the quran twice. For the first 15 days of Ramadan we will pray Taraweeh immediately after Isha. We will conduct 8 rak'ahs and recite 2 juzz every night. For the second half of Ramadan, we will not pray Taraweeh rather we will pray Qiyam-ul-Layl, which will also be 8 rak'ahs and 2 juzz each night. After Isha prayer, there will be a gap of about 3 hours where people could rest or do other acts of worship. Then Qiyam-ul-Layl will the begin at 12:30 and will continue up until suhoor time.

Iftaar & Suhoor:
Iftaar will not be served by the masjid. We welcome people to bring their own iftaar if they would like to eat in the masjid. If you would like to sponsor iftaar one night to feed the congregation please let me know. Suhoor will be served in the last 15 days inshallah.

Masjid Regulations:
The masjid will be completely open to the public (men & women). We urge everyone to wear their mask carry their own prayer. We are still in the midst of this pandemic and we should continue to follow these rules and regulations. As the masjid is open for anyone who is comfortable, you still have the option of praying in your home and inshallah Allah will grant you the same reward.

Vaccination Update:
As the COVID-19 vaccination is starting to become more available to the public, we strongly encourage you to get it as soon as possible. The cure is in the hands of Allah, but we also much take the means and trust in Allah.
